Sorry….One Last Time….SHE ROCKS!

I participated in a link up back in February entitled "Love Yourself" sponsored by Cyn at The Chunky Goddess  I let my hair down so to speak, opened up a bit more than usual and shared some pictures.  I have gained almost double the followers since then, so I thought in light of the fact that she centered an entire post around my shoot, I would sing the praises of Christine Tremoulet one last time – at least as far as a blog post, because honestly I rave about her to anyone that seems the least bit interested and even those who don't and will continue to do so.  You can also find her under Photographers That Rock on my nav bar above.
Christine took boudoir (GASP) pictures for me back in September of last year.  Trust me I am not one of the few women in the world that is comfortable with my body.  I have those areas that I cringe at when I look in the mirror and quite frankly taking scantily clad photos kinda scared the crap out of me.  Enter (drum roll please) Christine Temoulet.   In her words:

There are no words to adequately describe the confidence that spending one afternoon with this amazingly talented woman has given me.  Not only will her talent become evident if you choose to click on this link., but she is also funny, warm, compassionate and really listens to her clients, taking into consideration what each woman is comfortable with.  Although she lives in Houston, I can honestly say that I consider her a friend…even if from afar.
Enough jabbering from me, her post speaks for itself.  Although, this link is probably not work friendly, it is probably nothing more than PG13 at the most. A lot of people wear much less to the beach….whether that is good or not I am not sure.  Unless you are offended by cleavage…go ahead, take a peek!  Finally, for any of you in the DFW metroplex, Christine promises that she is going to be making a trip to our neck of the woods.  If you need a gift for a special someone or more importantly for yourself….let me know and I will pass on your interest.  You will not regret it and trust me….your inner diva is just dying to be set free….YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!!!

Tomorrow is the first post in my “Fellow TEXAS BLOGGERS Series” and I am so excited to share some of my new friends and their blogs…stay tuned!

A Manifesto For Kindness

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  Mine has busy, busy, busy.  I completed a really fun crafty project, and went to frame it about an hour or so ago and the frame is completely messed up.  Even though it had those heavy duty cardboard edge protectors, one corner is a total mess.  I will have to head to Michaels tomorrow at lunch and beg and plead....I have NO idea where the receipt is.  Keep your fingers crossed for me!  I can't wait to share it...hopefully next week.

Sarah blogs over at City Girl Gone Country.  She is as sweet as can be, and earlier this week she got a hateful ANONYMOUS comment on her blog.  She was obviously upset and hurt and I have been thinking about it ever since.  I am sure that this kind of thing happens all the time.  We as bloggers, put a lot of ourselves out there.  Some might say we are just asking for it, but are we really?  I have no problem with someone disagreeing with me, or voicing their opinion about something provided they do not hide behing anonymity and express their views in a non hateful, non judgemental manner.  Why do some people feel the need to lash out, and as was the case with the comment on Sarah's blog be just downright cruel and hateful?  There is no need and no excuse for this kind of poor behavior....we as a blogging community need to strive to do better.  Let's support each other and when we come upon something that we don't care for, don't agree with or are offended by, instead of being downright mean or offensive, let's just move on.  If it is something that you really feel passionate about, by all means comment away.  But make your point in an intelligent, non offensive manner....one that instigates a healthy debate, not one that causes confusion and hurt.  I want to believe that we are all better than that.

So in light of my mini soapbox, I wanted to share what inspired the post today.  A Manifesto For Kindness.  I found this little gem at The Smile Collective.  They are striving to create a manifesto a week through the end of the year.  Check it out, there are already some great ones posted and best of all you can click and print for the bargain price of FREE!!  How great is that?

Good night, all!

Yep....I'm A "New Kid On the Blog"

I think that I have mentioned at least once or maybe 100 times that one thing that I was really looking forward to when I started blogging was the potentail to connect with other bloggers and if I was really lucky maybe actually meet one day.  So, when I found the Texas Bloggers Facebook page, I not only joined - I jumped in with both feet.  Best blogging decision I have ever made...hands down!

Texas Bloggers

With the click of a mouse, I became a part of a group of truly wonferful ladies.  Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, supportive and really all around amazing cheerleaders.  We have weekly Google+ hangouts and although it would be great to have a few more members join in, we have a blast!
So, this little love fest today does have a point....I am going somewhere with it.  This morning, bright and early I opened up my reading list and was slightly confused when I saw my own mug staring back at me from Jennifer's Finding My Way In Texas.  Jennifer started the Texas Bloggers FB page and she is the bomb!  I was the subject for her linkup to "New Kids On The Blog"....how flippin fantastic is that????  It was a total surprise and I am beyond flattered.

I could go on and on about Jennifer, but I am going to save it for later in the month.  I have five sponsors this month and I believe that they are all going to be guest posting at some point in the next few weeks.  Stay tuned for the "Fellow TEXAS BLOGGERS Series"....you won't be disappointed!
